Then and Now

R and I celebrated our 10-yr anniversary on Mar. 22nd!! I know that most people never dreamed we would still be married after 1 year, much less 10! But we made it, and we had a mini-celebration by going out on a date. Yep, that's right, I finally got my "Date with Daddy"! We are having our real celebration in May, on a cruise. We can't wait! I was feeling nostalgic, looking through the memory box, and I came across this picture of our wedding day...ten years has changed us just a bit (It seems we both a little more hair) : )

Weinie Roastin'

Saturday night we decided to have a weinie roast. We went out to the woods behind our house and collected sticks, went to the Circle K and chopped (a.ka. bought) firewood, and then came home and R built a roarin' fire! It was a lot of fun...we all ate hot dogs (except A, of course) and topped off the evening with S'Mores...MMMMM!!!

Date with Daddy

A got her turn to go on a date with R on Saturday. She got to choose what she wore, what R wore, and where they went. She picked out their clothes, and decided they should go to the mall and buy some Princess perfume she had seen last week when she was there with me. Then they went to our favorite Mexican restaurant to eat. She had a blast having her Daddy all to herself, and she was very proud that she got a corsage just like T did the week before!

Daddy Daughter Dance

R & T went to a Daddy Daughter Dance Saturday night. They got all dressed up and went out on a "date". T was SO excited, and she had a blast having R to herself all night long. A was not so excited...I thought it would be a good idea to let T have this night to herself, but A totally disagreed and felt very left out...but, nothing a trip to the mall and a few dollars spent with Mommy couldn't cure! : ) A is going to get her turn with Daddy this Saturday night...they are going to go out on a "date" to anywhere A chooses!! Someday I might even get my turn....

Not intimidated!

While we were in FL, B gave us this HUGE bone. Someone had gotten it for their dog, Montana, and she was a little intimidated by it. We decided to see if our brave dog Sable could conquer the huge rawhide...she walked around the yard with it, then put it down proudly with a look of proud satisfaction. Of course, the girls and I were standing there laughing at her the whole time!!

"Chopper D"

Our friend D is a helicopter pilot in FL. He took us to see where he works, and the girls got to sit in a helicopter! Thanks "Uncle D"!!

Florida IS Fun!!

We drove down to Florida over the weekend to see our good friends, D and B. We haven't seen them since July 2005 in TX, and boy have we missed them! Their family has grown since then, with the addition of little C. So, we got to meet and love on him (and boy did we!) and spend some time with D and B. We had a great time, and we were really sad to leave little C behind!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

The girls had a very good Valentine's Day today. They got TONS of treats at school, flowers from their MiMi & PaPa and from Daddy, and new friends and chocolate from Mommy & Daddy. Needless to say, they are very happy girls right now! : ) We took these pics as soon as they got home from school...it doesn't matter how perfect they look when I send them out the door in the morning, they come home looking "well worn". : O

The grown-ups

Okay, several people have mentioned that we are always sending pics of the girls, but never any of us. I got several complaints that our Christmas pics were just the girls, and R and I weren't in them! Well, I am usually the one behind the camera (which is perfectly fine with me) and R isn't here very often, so we just have an abundance of pics of the girls. But, we actually took some pics of each other, so I thought I would send them out, and maybe it would work to quiet the disgruntled picture viewers!! : )

In her dreams...

A has recently discovered the photo album of T's trip to Disney World a few years ago with her MiMi & PaPa. A pulls it off the bookshelf, lays in the floor, and stares longingly at the pictures without saying a word. She will stay completely immersed in the pictures, oblivious to all that's going on around her, for 30 minutes at a time! I think we are going to HAVE to find a way to make this little princess's dreams come true...
