Ireland, Day 5

Day 5's itinerary was decided by MiMi & PaPa:  a restful day at the house!  PaPa wasn't feeling too good, so they thought a break was in order.

R and I went into town to buy groceries, and even got to have lunch...just the two of us!  That's the closest thing we have had to a date in a LONG time!!

The rest of the group just hung out at the house all day.  The girls got caught up on their reading...I think T read an entire book that day!  MiMi & PaPa spent some time outside with Little R, because this was actually the nicest weather day of our entire trip!

We bought the fixin's for a big 'ol homecooked dinner and had a family meal at the awesome dinner table in the rental house!

It wasn't what I had planned for the day, but in the end it turned out to be a good day!  And it gave everyone the "recharge" they needed to finish out the week!

We all fell in love with this house!  It was perfect for us!

Little R LOVED the rocks! 

The house was quite large, but we all spent most of our time in these rooms...our favorites!  The kitchen was great...made it very hard to come back home to my little, green German kitchen!  And it was absolutely wonderful to have a fridge....with ice...in the door!!

The sunroom...it was amazing in here when the sun was shining...and even quite amazing when it wasn't!

Dinner!  We had ribeyes (local Irish beef), pork tenderloin, 3 different kinds of Irish potatoes, and salad!  With apple pie and ice cream for dessert!

Everyone enjoying their dinner!  I love having my family sitting around the dinner table together.

Little R absolutely LOVED the Irish ice cream!!  He usually isn't a really big ice cream fan...but this night he was!

A tried apple pie for the first time.  It's her new favorite!

MiMi & PaPa enjoyed the apple pie and ice cream, too!

And the two R's finished off the evening with a bath in the jacuzzi tub!!
