One of our first excursions when we got to Germany last year was Ludwigsburg Castle. We have seen many others since, but this one is still one of our favorites!
So we decided it should be MiMi & PaPa's first day trip, too! We gave them a few days to adjust to the time change, then we ventured out on Sunday afternoon and spent the entire afternoon there. We went on the castle tour, but ran out of time to explore the grounds. We will have to go back another day for that one!!
For some reason, I didn't get many pictures of our day...probably because we spent most of our time on the tour, and you can't take photos inside the castle. Anyway, MiMi & PaPa enjoyed the outing, and they are already wanting to go back! I have a feeling we aren't going to fit ALL of our "to-do's" into this 6 weeks!! They may just have to extend their visit! : )
