Agenda for Day 4: Leaving Rome and heading to Florence! We walked to the train station from our apartment...rolling all of our luggage...we were quite a sight! Caught the train, and off we went to Florence!! We didn't have much planned for this day...checking into the apartment, finding some groceries, and if we had time...just wandering around the area near the apartment.

Packed up and ready to leave our Rome apartment! |
At the train station WAY early...always a theme for our family. |
On the train! In my opinion, this is THE way to travel!! I don't like flying, but I can SO handle the trains!! Much less stressful, and you actually get to see the countryside! |
This is one happy boy!! |
The door to our Florence apartment. |
The street where our apartment was located...very neat! |
LOVED the streets here...I think I snapped a hundred pictures of the streets!! |
Our little Pinocchio! Cutest Pinocchio I've ever seen! |
T was loving Florence! |
Ponte Vecchio...the oldest bridge in Florence! On the other side were TONS of shops with TONS of jewelry...more colors, styles and shapes than you can imagine!! |
MMMMM....Gelato!! Could you say "no" to those eyes??? : ) |
LOVED the doors in Florence, too! Loved them even more with my kiddoes in front of them! |
The Uffizi Gallery |
First dinner in Florence |
Our Florence apartment. It was small, but it was one of my favorites of all the places we stayed during our travels. It was so cozy and comfy, and had so much character! |
The girls shared this room |
And R and I shared this room with Little R...perfect arrangement! |
The River Arno |
Our first day in Florence was amazing!! The weather in Florence was a bit cooler, it was a lot cleaner, and just overall a lot friendlier! I decided the first day that our time in Florence wasn't going to be long enough! The pace was slower, and although it was still crowded, it was just a great atmosphere!! We also discovered that Florence is much more easily walkable than Rome!!
